INNOVATIVE SPACE DESIGN

The design of creative spaces is not bound by four walls or expensive furniture. Instead we support architects and schools in designs that are inspired by the psychology and poetry of space. We add our knowledge to understand the people inhabiting the creative space, as a place that is intended to bridge living and learning and become a social meaning-making places. Spaces were designed for play creative organisations, primary schools and special schools.

curation

For the past two decades Esther Joosa has curated several art exhibitions. COVID 19 brought her to transfer the global art exhibition Deep Down first held in Yucatan, Mexico into online curation, which provides unique insights into the voices of artists with Down syndrome.

COMMUNITY BUILDING

Learning, development and creativity does not happen in a vacuum. Hence part of our services are in building global communities where individuals can connect with likeminded people from across the borders and continents to share, learn and promote active dialogue with each other. Each community embraces diversity, fosters a sense of belonging, and enhances creativity. Some communities are:

  • Deep Down – Connecting artists with Down syndrome
  • The Creative Early Childhood Teacher connection
  • The Special Education Teacher connection
  • Parents with children with disabilities

PARENTS AS PARTNERS

To us the home is the genesis of all creativity, whereby education is not just for schools, but includes parents as the main stakeholders. In our work we reach out to parents and provide individual coaching and workshops to unleash the creative potential of parents. We especially care for parents with children with disabilities and have developed in collaboration with Playeum a special play program Open Minds Open Doors.

OUTREACH, DIALOGUE, AND ADVOCACY

Our projects are inspired by the arts as catalyst of meaning-making and a voice of young children, marginalised communities and disabled artists. Our experiences provide continuous inspiration and project partners have been many, such as Playeum, Singapore International Foundation, SG Enable and Mediacorp.
